Here’s an easy meditation to help you get a feel for meditating.
This can be done any time of day. It’s a good idea to be somewhere you’re not going to be disturbed for 10 or 15 minutes.
Sit comfortably on a chair or cushion.
Get relaxed and centered in the present moment.
Imagine you are standing on beautiful, golden sandy beach on a beautiful day.
You’re standing right by the edge of the crystal clear blue ocean.
You feel a wave touch your toes and recede back.
Another wave comes in and covers your feet. As you look down your feet are no longer visible.
Another wave comes and covers your legs to your knees and recedes. Your legs are becoming invisible.
Now a larger wave comes and covers you to your belly button. As it recedes your whole bottom half becomes invisible.
Another wave and now your chest is also invisible.
And another and your whole body is now invisible.
Keep breathing gently.
Now there is only you on the beach, you in your spiritual form. Conscious and consciousness.
Take as long as you like to experience your self.
When you’re ready you can rub your palms together gently and give the top of your head a gently rub too as you come back to ‘normal’ consciousness.
